Thought about learning self defense but don’t know where to start? Look no further than our FF3 program. Specially curated for beginners with no experience, little experience, or have taken a different style of martial arts.
In three months, we’ll work you through the basics of aikido, from falling to the foundation controls and throws that make up the basis of the art.
Who can do aikido?
Great question. The good news is almost anyone can do aikido. It relies on joint locks and body mechanics that are universal to the human body. Size and physical strength do not matter.
Why should I take aikido?
Aikido is not only a martial art, but a fantastic workout. If running on a treadmill bores you, come try the equivalent of two hundred pushes over the course of two hours.
Aikido is a fantastic way to meet people. There is nothing that brings people together like completing a hard workout. Aikido tends to bring people from all walks of life, cultures, and creeds. You will learn martial arts while expanding your social circle.
What does the beginner’s program entail?
We will teach you the basics of aikido, which include going to the ground safely, getting up, and the main strikes and techniques. By the end of the program, you will take your first belt test with the art. If you pass, you will be eligible for our main classes on Monday and Wednesday.
